Secondary actions for REGA
On nice winter ski weekends, it often happens that REGA is reaching the limits of capacity with its helicopters. If this is the case Helibernina is supporting the REGA with a completely medically equipped helicopter and with a doctor and paramedics.
Transport of cattle by order of REGA
Helicopter support is often the only solution to rescue injured or sick calves and cattle which got into difficulties while “climbing” or which were injured through falling or through rock fall in remote areas. By order of REGA Helibernina is doing the so called “contadino” flights. This service is free for owners of animals who have got a REGA family patronage.
Searching and accompanying flights by order of the Cantonal Police
Helibernina is supporting the Cantonal Police of the Grisons in case of chaos on the roads, during big sports events or in crisis situations.
Fire-fighting by order of the fire brigade
In rough terrain or forest fires over wide areas helicopters are usually the only means of transport that can control the flames.
Avalanche accidents in collaboration with the SAC
When there are avalanche accidents Helibernina usually brings the rescue material to the spot of the accident. Like this avalanche dogs with their guides and more rescue material can be brought in a fast and efficient way to the place of the accident.
